ABA's 12th Annual Administrative Law & Regulatory Practice Institute, March 14-15, 2016

February 29, 2016

TRG is again sponsoring the American Bar Association (ABA), Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice’s Annual Administrative Law & Regulatory Practice Institute. The 12th Annual Institute will be held March 14-15 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. In addition to sponsoring the event, TRG’s Andrew Emery will be a panelist in the Rulemaking 101 program on the rulemaking process. This will be the 6th year that the Section has held the Rulemaking 101 program and the 6th year that Mr. Emery has participated. The Rulemaking 101 program is split into two sessions: The Rulemaking Process, and Judicial Review of Rules.

The 12th Annual Administrative Law & Regulatory Practice Institute, sponsored by The Regulatory Group, Inc., (TRG) will be held March 14-15, 2016, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. The first day of the Institute has one program, Rulemaking 101, which runs from 1:00 pm to 4:15 pm (registration opens at noon). The second day of the Institute runs from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and includes eight fascinating sessions focusing on Congressional oversight and interest in rulemaking, Whitehouse oversight of rulemaking, and the transition to the next Administration.

In addition to sponsoring the Institute, TRG’s Andrew Emery, along with Department of Energy’s Dan Cohen, have organized the Rulemaking 101 Program. In addition, Andrew Emery, Dan Cohen and Russell Frye will be the panelists in the first session of Rulemaking 101, The Rulemaking Process. Last year was an interesting year for administrative law and 2016 promises to be much the same. So kick off the year by attending the Administrative Law & Regulatory Practice Institute (Register for the Institute ). You can register at the ABA’s website. If you are not already a member, join the ABA’s Administrative Law & Regulatory Practice Section (Join AdLaw ). You do not need to be a lawyer to attend the Institute.

The Institute is one of many good reasons to become a member of the ABA’s Section of Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice and it is one of the two major conferences hosted by the section each year. The second conference is the Fall Administrative Law Conference, which will be held this year on December 8-9, also at the Washington Convention Center. Andrew Emery and Carol Ann Siciliano (EPA) are the Co-Chairs of the Fall Administrative Law Conference.
