Paperwork Reduction Act Compliance Course

April 28, 2010

Federal agencies have struggled with complying with the Paperwork Reduction Act for years.  The mystery of Paperwork Reduction Act compliance is removed with this new offering by The Regulatory Group, Inc.

This one-day course focuses on compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act.  This course is designed for all regulatory agency employees who must comply with the Paperwork Reduction Act. This course addresses the principles underlying the Act and the requirements imposed on agencies by the Act and Office of Management and Budget guidance. This course will teach the steps necessary to complete information collection requests by laying out in practical terms the PRA process from conception to completion.

The prototype course was conducted for the information collection officers and other senior officials of the Department of Transportation and sub-agencies on April 29, 2010.  Below are their comments:

“The course was informative in that it shed some much-needed light on the topic/requirements of PRA. It was like pulling back the curtain on the Wizard of Oz. There is nothing extraordinarily complicated about identifying a requirement or filling out the supporting statement.”

“You did a good job of clarifying subject matter that is by nature confusing and not well documented…your examples were concrete and clear.”

“I wish all PO [Paperwork Officers] could take it.”

“Much needed training that was never available before….Very useful information – good course. Great for PRA training to Federal employees. Great instructors.”

“This course is needed in the agency for all levels of employees who are part of the PRA process. Even if the activity is peripheral/support. They need to know about PRA.”

“Excellent course, should be conducted on a regular basis.”
